The incumbent will be working closely with the Wastewater Treatment Plant Supervisor
Key Responsibilities
• Performs maintenance and repair program for all wastewater systems to ensure all equipment and components are effectively maintained, remain in optimum condition, and sustain maximum life.
• Performs all wastewater maintenance per approved maintenance program, and applicable standards specified by AWWA, ANSI, UFC, and NFPA Standards, OMSI, equipment manufacturer’s recommendations, and commercially accepted practices.
• Performs service order work in a timely manner and ensures wastewater systems are restored to a safe, normal working condition and function properly.
• Responds to emergency service orders and arrest emergent conditions to ensure the timely arrest of emergent conditions and minimize danger to personnel and mitigate damage to wastewater systems and facilities.
• Responds to routine service orders to ensure timely completion and wastewater systems are restored to a safe, normal working condition and function properly.
• Maintains, repairs, and tests the operation of submersible pumps of sewage lift stations, sewage force, and gravity mains. • Observe and follow all safety rules and procedures, including wearing required personal protective equipment.
• Performs other work-related duties and responsibilities as assigned to meet organizational/operational objectives.
Required Academic Qualifications, Experience and Competencies
• Must possess sufficient knowledge in the operation and maintenance of wastewater facilities.
• Must be able to read, interpret blueprints, and design and follow engineering drawings, specifications, and instructions.
• Must be able to perform physical activities such as, but not limited to, bending, standing, climbing, or walking.
• Must speak, read, and understand the English Language.
• Must pass overseas medical screening and be in good health.
• Must have a valid driver’s license with the following license codes (B, B1, B2, C, D) and be able to operate the assigned vehicles.
• Completed any of the following courses from TESDA is highly desired:
▪ Plumbing – NC I, II, III
• Must be at least a High School, Vocational, or Technical course Graduate related to plumbing is required.
• Must have at least three (3) years of work experience in submersible sewage or wastewater pump maintenance.
